Fees and Insurance
The fee for an initial intake is $150 and subsequent sessions are $125 for 50 minutes. Please note if you arrive late to your appointment the session will still end on time.
I participate with the following insurance providers: Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, United Behavioral Health, Connecticare and Oxford. If you do not participate with one of these providers services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance plan under out-of-network coverage.
If I'm an in-network provider for your insurance provider, I will check insurance benefits prior to the initial intake. However, it is very important for you to be aware of your insurance coverage and benefits. To determine if you have mental health coverage through your insurance carrier, the first thing you should do is call them. Some helpful questions you can ask them include:
- What are my mental health insurance benefits?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- Does my insurance cover telehealth sessions?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
- (For non participating insurance providers) Does my insurance plan pay for an out-of-network provider? If so, what benefits are provided?
Payment
Payment for each session is due at the time service unless you have insurance coverage that requires another arrangement. Payment can be made by cash, check, credit/debit/HSA/FSA card, or EFT (Venmo or Zelle).
Cancellation Policy
Without 24 hours advance notification of cancellation, or if you miss an appointment, you (not the insurance company) will be charged the full cost of the session. For those covered under a participating insurance provider this cost includes the copay plus the amount paid directly by your insurance carrier.
